Water-based activities
Hydrokinesitherapy
and neuropsychomotor therapy in water
for children and adolescents
Water is a valuable tool in neurorehabilitation because, thanks to the absence of gravity, it allows movements that would otherwise be difficult to perform. While playing with their own body and practising specific exercises, the child experiences in water new possibilities for balance, movement, and interaction.
Water stimulates the entire neuromuscular system and promotes a gradual release of tension. With the support of experienced professionals (physiotherapists and neuropsychomotor therapists of developmental age), water-based therapy can achieve important results both in orthopaedic and neurological conditions.
