We take care
of the smallest
with the greatest needs
Vision & mission
The smallest with the greatest needs — children and adolescents with neuromotor, sensory, and cognitive disabilities, together with their families — are the reason why Centro Argos exists. Centro Argos is a point of reference for habilitation, rehabilitation, and educational support during the developmental age in the Roman coastal area and the Pontine area, offering a qualified, specialised, and multidisciplinary service.
For this reason, the Administration and all staff members of Centro Argos have undertaken and carried out with determination a long process that led to the regional accreditation of the Centre and to the achievement of a dual objective: to offer the greatest possible number of children and adolescents the right opportunities, through personalised projects suited to their needs, and to contribute to a real improvement in the quality of life of their families.
Centro Argos identifies its mission in the intention to prevent, reduce, or eliminate conditions of disability, need, and individual and family distress, in order to promote a culture of disability based on the concept of diversity as a normal aspect of the human condition (from the Manifesto of the Forum for Rehabilitation, 2002).
How we work
Habilitative, rehabilitative, educational activities and support for families are provided in three ways:
- under agreement with the Lazio Regional Health Service, accredited under Article 26 of Law 833/78:
Centro Argos – Nettuno DCA n. 30 del 7.2.2020
Centro Argos – Pomezia (Regional Government Resolution no. 1142 of 23 December 2024) - through private services
- with the support of Fondazione Placido Puliatti ETS
Therapeutic pathways are carried out by an experienced multidisciplinary team, with each rehabilitation project directed by a child neuropsychiatrist and coordinated by a psychologist.
The team identifies the most appropriate care and treatments and develops, in accordance with the guidelines of the Regional Health Service, Individual Rehabilitation Programs (IRPs) aimed at achieving concrete improvements, addressing the various difficulties and supporting the harmonious development of the child/adolescent. The team also guides families in the challenging process of dealing with disability, helping them to understand the possibilities and limits of their child and strengthening parental capacity through emotional, psychological, and educational support.
Teamwork is therefore carried out with the involvement of all specialists and is based on a rigorous method aimed at achieving the highest level of effectiveness.
Area of operation
Centro Argos operates in the municipality of Nettuno, at Via Santa Maria Goretti 208, and in the municipality of Pomezia, at Via del Mare 67, in the Province of Rome, within the territory of ASL Roma 6, Health Districts H6 and H4.
Given the specific nature of the services offered, exclusively for minors, Centro Argos serves a wide population, including the municipalities of Nettuno, Anzio, Ardea, Pomezia, Velletri, and Lariano (ASL Roma 6), as well as Aprilia, Cisterna, and Latina (ASL Latina).
Our logo
The dawn of a star
The logo chosen for the visual identity of Centro Argos tells the story of the birth of a star. The rays, with their vivid colours ranging from shades of yellow to ruby red, suggest the rotational movement of a celestial body that transforms from chaos into something bright and luminous. Centrality, expansion, transformation, and warmth support the understanding that something greater exists beyond what our eyes can see.
